THE GIFT OF WATER

PROVIDING WATER HELPS COMMUNITIES THRIVE.

WATER PROVIDES OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS

Women and girls walk long distances, spending hours collecting water each day, often in dangerous areas near elephant corridors. When water sources are located closer to communities, girls can attend school, women can grow small business's and overall health improves.
With access to clean water, they can plant crops and sustain livestock, contributing to food security and economic stability.
Access to water has the potential to transform their lives in health, education and well-being, providing immense opportunities, especially for women and girls.

INVESTING IN SOLAR POWER

Our water projects are focused around renewable energy supply as climate change is impacting access to water. Solar-power can vastly improve the quality of water services and enhance the quality of life while reducing emissions.

Solar-powered systems are our future as they store and provide volume for multiple purposes, making water available to a larger population. This reduces the time taken to fetch water, gives access to schools and communities.

As climate is changing and the time is now. Investing in renewable energy is the greatest investment for future generations.

HOW OUR WATER PROJECTS ARE BUILT

We identify and prioritize communities in need as we begin each water project and partner with experts in the field, community leaders and local government in our assessments. Our water projects start at $10,000 and can cost up to $25,000 or more, depending on the location and project type.
Once we have our water point, we prepare geological studies, gather permits and begin. After water is flowing, we create a local water committee and train local caretakers to use and maintain their new water system.
Our process takes 6-12 months for completion. We will update our sponsors with photos, stories from the field and provide G.P.S. coordinates of the project.
Our local team members continue to monitor the water site to make sure clean, safe drinking water is accessible.

THE GIFT OF WATER

With your help, we have provided clean, safe drinking water for over 20,000 people living in rural areas of Kenya. In addition, over 100,000 livestock have benefited from access to a water source. Schools and entire communities have received the gift of water through our water program.
